Friends of Big Marsh
UIUX Design + Strategy
Big Marsh Park, which was previously unusable land due to slag build up from the Steal Industry, has become home to one of the largest bike parks in the Chicago area thanks to the non profit organization Friends of Big Marsh. The park became a vibrant, important part of the South Side community, but their previous website was lacking any personality. Following a comprehensive UIUX process and user-centered design, we uncovered what the stakeholders and park users wanted and needed to see on the site through research, user surveys, and user interviews. We established a visual personality, or "brand", for the website and the park at large. Competitive analysis, site review, user research, user interviews, research and moodboards led to the designs of wireframes, a design foundation and full-scale visual comps that met accessibility standards, eventually resulting in a live website.
